Hepburn Wind is a community owned renewable energy operator located in the shire of Hepburn, just outside of Daylesford. After launching the wind farm two years ago the project was looking to advance the brand and product offering to take to market. Latitude was engaged to work directly with the Hepburn Wind team on the development of a new brand identity and online environment that would better support the future growth of the project.
Our approach was based on the concept of renewable energy and a symbol of the two turbines in perpetual motion was created. This symbolises both the two turbines working together as well as the infinity symbol. The colour spectrum for the identity was derived from the colours of the natural environment, representing the flow of energy and the power the community brings to the project.
The positioning line ‘Community Energy for a Green Future’ was developed to take a direct message to market. Our role within this space was to both educate the broader market as well as raise awareness of the Hepburn Wind initiative. Being the first community owned Wind Farm in Australia the platform for communications was pioneering within industry and remains a benchmark for other community owned projects both now and into the future.
